Vinacafé - Natural Taste

Ha Noi, Aug. 18 (VNA) - "It has a natural flavour and is conveniently made", Romanian Ambassador to Viet Nam Constantin Lupeau commented on Vinacafé made by the Bien Hoa Coffee Factory in southern Dong Nai province.

Stephane Calvet, a French apprentice at the Ubik Web company in Ha Noi, said "I ussually have a cup of Vinacafé in the morning. It is tasty and suitable for the industrialised society. While staying here I tried Vietnamese coffee and found that I liked it. Now I drink it often."

Zeng Wei Jan, a Taiwanese working at the Van Dac Phuc Co. Ltd. in northern Hai Duong province, said "Vinacafé is well-known in Viet Nam. I often buy it at the Bien Hoa Coffee Factory's agents in Hai Duong province, particularly milky Vinacafé because of its sweet taste."
With products like roasted coffee, milky coffee and instant coffee, the Vinacafé trademark has become popular among consumers inside and outside the country.

The producer, Bien Hoa Coffee Factory, has diversified its products, firstly with the launch of a non-cholesterol, vitamin E-rich and canxi-supplemented cereal product.

Over the past seven consecutive years, Vinacafé products have been selected by customers as a "Vietnamese high-quality product" and honoured as a prestigious trademark in Viet Nam in 2003. Vinacafé products have been shipped to the U.S., Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan, China and Bulgaria.

The achievements were attributed to in-depth investment and rising product quality. Vinacafé aims to provide its customers with high-quality, non artificial flavours and free-additive products.

In 2001, the factory put a Denmark-designed advanced production line worth nearly 120 billion VND into operation. The factory which produces 800 tonnes of instant coffee a year would meet the increasing demand of the domestic market and exports.

Vinacafe now expands its system of outlets to 60 provinces and cities nationwide. The factory registered an annual growth rate of 18-20 percent in recent years and its turnovers reached 126 billion VND (8.4 million USD) in 2002 and 70 billion VND in the first six months of this year.

According to Vu Trung Toan, chief representative of the factory branch in Ha Noi, apart from boosting exports, the factory will pay more attention to the domestic market, a population of 80 million.
